Secretariat

The Africa Hub is a partnership between the African Development Bank (AfDB), the African Union Commission (AUC), the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Regional Economic Communities (RECs) on a rotating basis.

The Hub Secretariat, is hosted by the AfDB’s Power, Energy, Climate and Green Growth Complex at its headquarters in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Mission

The Africa Hub’s mission is to coordinate and facilitate implementation of the SEforALL in Africa. It has an Oversight and Operations Committee (OOC) that provides strategic guidance for the Hub Secretariat’s operations.

Activities

The Hub promotes African ownership, inclusiveness and a comprehensive approach to support the implementation of SEforALL goals. Its main activities include policy elaboration and guidelines, technical assistance to African countries, networking and knowledge management and coordination of energy initiatives.
